Course Description

The course will cover the history of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), focus on the recent developments of the small UAS (sUAS), and introduce you to the future of this emerging technology in commercial applications. Topics will include flight and ground safety, regulations, and flying skills required for both rotary and fixed wing sUAS. Completion of the FAA certification exam is required to certify as a commercial remote pilot but not required for this course. Mini quadcopter, fixed-wing, simulator, and other drone activities are required as part of this course.
