What is an A-Number

The A-Number is your Student ID number used for all of your records at USU. You will need to use your A-Number to access your Transcripts and other campus systems, like Canvas. You are assigned an A-Number after registering for a CEU or Workforce Development Course. NOTE: the login for cpe.usu.edu is separate from other USU systems and is NOT your A-Number or campus password. If you have attended USU in the past, your account will be matched to your existing A-Number.  

If you are new to USU or have forgotten your A-Number, you can visit https://myid.usu.edu. It requires you to have a personal or recovery email, or mobile phone designated in your Banner user record. If you do not have a personal or recovery email, or mobile phone, please call the IT Service Desk at 435-797-HELP (4357) or submit a photo ID at https://passwordreset.usu.edu.

1. Go to myid.usu.edu
2. Select "I don't know my A Number"
3. Enter the Email address you used to register for your CEU or Workforce Development course as the Recovery Email.
4. An Email will be sent containing your A-Number. 

How do I create my Campus Password?

Most passwords can be reset via https://myid.usu.edu/password/forgot

1. Enter the Email address you used to register for your CEU or Workforce Development course as the Recovery Email.
2. An Email will be sent containing instructions to reset your password.
